Babies are going to be born left and right. So I decided to get sewing some burp clothes. I made about 20 of them. I had a production line going - I sewed, Molly cleaned them and Colter tested them out. Ok, actually this was a solo project. Took a few hours here and there, but now they are done and I have a good supply to give out as gifts. I already gave three of them to my neighbor's baby Bryn.

Fresh Blueberry Pie
I picked up some blueberries at Costco this weekend to make a Blueberry Pie. None of my cookbooks had any good recipes, so I searched online and found this great Fresh Blueberry Pie recipe. I thought it was delicious. Kory did not. Too bad, more for me!

Baptism Shoes
(I was surprised that they only took part of one day to make. BB (before baby) sewing took me a lot longer - I think watching TV at the same time slowed me down :-)

Patches
Ahhh.... Some sort of sewing has occurred in my world. Although it was only putting patches on Kory's jeans, it was still sewing. I kinda like the ripped jean look.... brings back memories of early 90s flannel and grunge music. Kory on the other hand, thinks we are so poor we can't afford a new pair of jeans!
Next up, I've decided to try to make little white slipper shoes for Colter's baptism outfit. Only have a few weeks to complete. The pressure is ON!

Foot Stool
I asked Kory to make me a foot stool for use with the glider, since the stool that came with it is more for laying your legs on it. A foot stool is better for positioning while breastfeeding. Although I use it more while sitting on the couch in the living room, as that is mostly where we feed.
Kory whipped it up out of maple wood using pocket screws to hold it together. Notice the upper, right side of it has a hole in it that he thinks gives it character. I don't like it there, because I am obsessed with running my foot over it.

30th Birthday Signs
My friend Mandy enlisted me into making signs for her husband Justin's 30th birthday party. She wanted to put his head on fun characters doing some of the activities he did as a kid and/or adult. I took photos of Justin and images taken from google images into photoshop and merged them together. These were so fun to put together and turned out hilarious!

Burp Clothes
It's burp cloths galore! Last weekend, I made a bunch of burp clothes. 10 total with 5 fabric combinations. I made a few for our baby and a few to keep on hand for gifts (especially the pink ones). This will probably be my last sewing project for awhile. I can't think of anything else I need before baby gets here. So unless I need to make a gift, I'm going to take a break for awhile.

Breast Feeding Cover
Another baby sewing project (well I guess it's more for me than him). I made a breast feeding cover. I don't think I will have a problem doing it in public if I find myself in such a situation, but I think I would feel more comfortable not showing my goods. By the way, breast feeding is legal in Colorado as long as you are legally able to be in the place you are at, not sure about all states. I would have to do some research. Never thought about this subject until it involved me.I thought it would be an easy project and it was. I found a tutorial on this website. I found some cute, blue flower embroidered fabric for $2.50/yard at Joanns. Got a couple of d-rings and 1/2 yard of boning. Also, I added a pocket to the right, bottom side out of terry cloth. This project was way under $10. If you look to buy one of these, they average about $25 - 30.
