In an attempt to learn more about sewing, I made a cute smock top for myself. I used a tutorial I found here. It seemed like it would be fairly easy. It turned out to be more of a challenge. It took about 10 hours to make, including having to rip out a pretty long seam. However I did learn a lot and could probably make it quicker next time. I learned what baste means (maybe). I learned how to do tucks (well, my own version). And I learned the more I practice, my sewing will get better and easier.
